Air Mauritius lands new A330-900 NEO model at Perth Airport

Perth Airport has received its first Airbus A330-900 NEO model after Air Mauritius arrived on Wednesday on one of its regular weekly services between Port Louis and Perth.

Air Mauritius flight MK440 landed in Perth, Western Australia, at 09:10 on Wednesday July 24, taking six and a half hours to reach its destination.

The national carrier plans to progressively introduce the A330-900 NEO model into its Perth services, which currently run twice a week. It is expected the route will be entirely serviced by A330-900 NEOs from early 2020.

“The A330-900 NEO is Airbus’s latest-generation aircraft and Air Mauritius’ decision to utilise it on this route, strengthens its commitment to the Perth market and will undoubtedly enhance the customer experience on the route,” said Perth Airport chief corporate services officer Debra Blaskett.

The model will allow passengers to enjoy an advanced in-fight experience with integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, state of the art ambient lighting, latest generation inflight entertainment system, higher ceiling and larger overhead luggage compartments.

The Airbus cabin offers 28 lie flat seats in business class each with aisle access, 261 comfort seats in economy class, and 4 extra leg room seats.
